What you need to hang a canvas

To hang your canvas, these are some of the items that you will need:

  • 1 nail
  • 2 Sticky pads
  • Sawtooth bracket
  • 1 hook
  • 2 screws
  • Spirit level
  • Philips-head screwdriver

Method #1 - Hang with a sawtooth bracket

Now that you have all the materials that you will need to hang your canvas prints, you can take the following steps to make the process easy:

Step 1 – Mark the wall

The first step to hanging a canvas is marking the wall to know an ideal position to achieve a perfect display.

Use a pencil to mark the exact place you want to place the canvas on the wall. Also, remember that the top of the canvas will always sit some distance above this pencil mark.

Step 2 – Hammer wall hook

The next step is to hammer the wall hook on the spot you’ve marked with a pencil. Hammer the wall nail carefully to avoid damaging the wall and hitting your finger. You can hammer the nail slightly to ensure the wall takes most weight.

Step 3 – Attach the bracket to the canvas

Once you have the wall hook in position, you should now attach the bracket to the back of the canvas. You can choose which side you want depending on how you want to display the canvas – that is up to you. Use a screwdriver to screw the bracket into the right place.
